The most common side effects of taking Prednisolone include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, and dizziness. Other side effects may include mood changes, anxiety, insomnia, muscle and joint pain, hair loss, appetite changes, weight gain, and changes in blood sugar levels. If you experience any of these side effects, contact your doctor. Serious side effects may include changes in vision, increased blood pressure, seizures, and changes in heart rate. If you experience any of these side effects, contact your doctor immediately.

Drug Interaction

Prednisolone may interact with other medications, such as aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and warfarin. Tell your doctor about all medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements, before taking Prednisolone. It is important to tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medications: antibiotics, antifungals, diuretics, or blood pressure medications.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Prednisolone, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the regular time. Do not take two doses at once.

Overdose

If you think you have taken too much of this medication, contact your doctor or local poison control center immediately.

Storage

Store Prednisolone at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep this medication out of the reach of children.
